Meeting the Leonardo da Vinci Museum
My visit to the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Works and Life in Milan began with the intention of spending just a couple of hours there. I was sure it would be an interesting but relatively brief introduction to the work of the great master. However, as it turned out, my plans changed dramatically, and I spent the entire day there. This experience was so inspiring and captivating that I couldn’t leave without learning more about Leonardo’s life and works.

Similarities in the Creative Process
One of the most astonishing similarities between my work and Leonardo’s lies in the fact that both of us start with designing and creating models on paper.
Andrii Skorbatiuk
Like him, I am involved in designing software interfaces and business logic, as well as creating drawings and technical documentation. So, when I saw his detailed drawings and notes, I felt a connection between us. He was also a person who began with an idea and brought it to life through skill and technical mastery.

Details and Confidentiality
One impressive aspect of my visit was the realization of how much Leonardo valued his drawings and works. Many of his records were written in reverse to keep them confidential and accessible only to those who could decipher them. This reminded me of the importance of valuing and preserving my creative ideas and projects, even if they seem straightforward at first glance.
Mastery and Practicality
It’s remarkable that Leonardo was not just a genius in art but also a paid professional who created practical solutions for the court, the military, and agriculture.
Andrii Skorbatiuk
He didn’t just create paintings and sculptures but also developed engineering projects and inventions that were ahead of their time. This showed me that creativity and practicality can go hand in hand and even enhance each other.

Playing with the Future and Contemporary Legacy
I felt like Leonardo was playing with the future, creating technical documentation for projects that seemed fantastical for his time. For example, his research on flying machines amazed me. His technical documentation included every detail, yet he left some things to the discretion of the craftsman, assuming that they could figure out the necessary solutions themselves. This approach, combined with his incredible imagination, led to the creation of unique and innovative projects.

Museum of the Future
Today, in the modern world, there exists a museum dedicated to studying Leonardo da Vinci’s drawings and technical documents. It’s a place where everyone can immerse themselves in the world of his creativity and see what extraordinary minds are capable of.
Changing My Attitude Towards Creativity

My visit to the Leonardo da Vinci Museum was not just a tour but also a true source of inspiration and enrichment for me. It changed my attitude towards my work as a software interface designer and high-capacity network systems professional. Now I understand that creativity and technical mastery can coexist and create something truly great. Now I am in awe of technical documentation. Now I appreciate it more than ever.
Recommendation to Visit the Museum
I highly recommend everyone to visit the Leonardo da Vinci Museum in Milan. This journey will be not only an exciting experience but also a source of inspiration for anyone aspiring to creativity and innovation. Here, you can touch the world of a great master’s creativity and see the impact he had on the fields of art and scientific research.
